Nokia presents Ovi Ovi API and SDK for publishers and developers

altPreliminary technical description of the API (Application Programming Interfaces) and SDK Software Development Kit (SDK) allows you to become acquainted with a new type of applications running on the Internet and platforms used by smartphones.

Nokia Ovi released a new API (application programming interface to Ovi) and Ovi SDK (set programmatically to Ovi). This allows easier for application developers and publishers developing online applications with integrated services, and similar to native user interfaces with less effort. Nokia will be progressively made available APIs to use their services online and on mobile platforms, and the first player released Ovi Maps API and Ovi Navigation Player API for creating innovative solutions for smartphones location of your portfolio.

Ovi beta program for Developers
Nokia encourages application developers to participate in the beta program for Developers Ovi, appearing on the programming side of the Forum Nokia community (www.forum.nokia.com/Ovi). Other features include vector maps that provide different views, including maps of terrain and 3D mode, the dynamic combination of maps. Nokia first unveiled Ovi Player Maps API to web applications a few months ago.

 Ovi Navigation Player API - allows application developers to integrate feature industry-leading pedestrian and car navigation Nokia with its own applications.
