The company Microsoft has updated the tools for game developers XNA Game Studio to version 4.0, which revealed some of the company's plans for further development of the brand Zune HD and confirmed rumors about the work on the Zune HD 2, reports ZDNet. In comparison with the XNA Game Studio 3.1, the new version added support for Windows Phone 7 Series, which is not surprising, given the company's desire to attract developers to the new platform. It seems that in its future media player, Microsoft will use an adapted version of the OS Windows Phone 7 Series, and, thus, on ideology, he would be similar to the iPod touch. Experience Apple has shown the consistency of such practices, when a single software environment allows you to increase sales of portable players through communicators and vice versa, and Microsoft decided to take advantage of this approach. The company has long planned to turn Zune into a universal service for different platforms, which confirms the recent consolidation of software development departments Zune and Windows Media Center.

How many times has Microsoft tried to make portable players and failed? This is the 4th platform, after PlaysForSure, Zune and Zune HD. We already know that Zune HD2 will fail for the same reason all the previous ones failed.
