altThe next major upgrade of Windows Mobile will bring many innovations, reports Engadget citing PPCGeeks. This is the seventh version of the operating system for smartphones and communicators, the announcement is expected in February.

First, in Windows Mobile is not that multitasking, which users are accustomed to seeing in previous versions. Run multiple applications simultaneously, it will be possible, but those programs that will work in the background, stand on pause. Along with this instant notifications will be maintained, as in the Apple iPhone. In this way, Microsoft will try to solve the problem of low productivity.

Secondly, the operating system will have a brand new home screen, while at the same time and the interface as a whole, which will remind interface players Microsoft Zune. Third, the platform will be tightly integrated with the Xbox, not only with an online service designed for owners of gaming consoles, but will use the same avatars and display artifacts.

Updated to store applications and Windows Marketplace. In particular, customers will be able to watch pre-application in action, and then make a decision on buying it. This opportunity is not now nor in the Apple App Store, or other similar projects. Recall that according to unofficial information, the announcement of Windows Mobile 7 to be held at the exhibition Mobile World Congress, which will be held from 15 to 18 February in Barcelona.
