In 2014 will be 5 billion downloaded applications

Analyst with research firm ABI Research found that in 2014, users downloaded more than 5 billion applications. For comparison, this year has been downloaded 2.3 million applications.

As expected, the main contribution to the increase in the number of downloaded applications will make the owners of smartphones. Incidentally, among the last of this year grew by 20%.

Another factor that contributes to the growth of downloads, is the growing number of shopping applications.

In ABI Research believes that special diligence in downloading the application will show smartphone running Google Android. Their share in the number of downloaded applications will grow from 11% in 2009 to 23% in 2014.

Despite the overall increase in downloads, analysts, ABI Research predicted a drop in operating revenues in this market companies. This paradox is explained by the fact that over time, market competition, applications will increase. This, in turn, will reduce the cost of programs.

Lets see, if Apple's first full year, they had about 2,000,000,000 downloads. It is excelerating as more people get iPod Tuches/iPhones and there are more apps to choose from.

Google is finally starting to add some steam.

MS is going at it with their market place.

As is BB.
