A new standard for software quality

Software Engineering Institute (SEI) at Carnegie Mellon University and the organization of the Object Management Group (OMG) cooperated, which is aimed at preparing for the next year a new standard in software quality. Formed by the two institutions Consortium for IT Software Quality (CISQ) is organizing a special event November 12 inaugural.

Planned industry standard involves the automatic measurement of qualitative characteristics. The starting point for new specification to be OMG standards for software development. Moreover, it will be based on ISO 25000, which, inter alia, regulates the management aspect of the quality requirements.

The first version of new guidelines for software quality is to be ready by the end of next year. A year later, the consortium wants to begin CISQ grant special licenses to companies that will occupy the control of compliance with these standards.
