Microsoft releases patches for critical vulnerabilities in Windows and Office

As expected, Microsoft released four security bulletin in order to close the five vulnerabilities in its software products, Windows and Office. Among them, there is a very dangerous critical vulnerability in the service Windows Help and Support Center, which has already tried to use the hackers for their attack.

A vulnerability in the online reference service provided in supported versions of Windows XP and Windows Server 2003 could allow an attacker to seize control of the user's computer, after luring him to a specially created website. Especially important is the bulletin that covered this "hole", for users of Windows XP.

In addition, Microsoft released two security bulletin, with the status of critical. They provide "patches" for vulnerabilities in Canonical Display Driver, and for two vulnerabilities in the functions of Access ActiveX Controls in the program for Office 2003 and Office 2007. Finally, in yet another bulletin with a rating of "important" there is a solution for the vulnerability in Microsoft Office Outlook 2002, 2003 and 2007.
