About a month later, AMD plans to introduce its own six-core processor targeted for use in desktop computers. New products, code-named Thuban, will be included in the line of AMD Phenom II X6, but the first wave of the CPU will include three models - 1035T, 1055T (in versions with TDP of 95 watts and 125), and 1075T.

It was reported earlier that the chips AMD Phenom II X6 will get to 9 MB of cache memory of the third level and an integrated memory controller, DDR3, and their production will be built on the 45 nm process technology. And now become known, and clock speeds of the first desktop 6-core from AMD.

For example, the processor Phenom II X6 1035T receive frequency of 2.6 GHz, while the Phenom II X6 1055T comparable figure was 2.8 GHz. As the flagship model Phenom II X6 1075T, then, based on the above information, we can assume that the clock speed of the CPU run at 3 GHz.

Of course, performance chips AMD Phenom II X6 is unlikely to allow them to compete with 32-nm processor Intel Core i7-980X EE, clocked at 3.33 GHz and support 12 execution threads at the 6 physical cores. However, on 6-core Thuban should be quite competitive in relation to patterns of performance Core i7 LGA 1156.
