Next month, Lenovo IdeaPad netbooks will refresh the line with two new models built based on latest Intel platform - Pine Trail. Interestingly, one of them will have a rotating LCD touch screen.
Device bearing an indication IdeaPad S10-3-3t and the S10 platform using Intel's Pine Trail. Have a 1.66-gigaherz Atom 450 processor, RAM, with a capacity of up to 2 GB, 250-gigabit hard drives and integrated GMA 3150 graphics systems
The main difference between them concerns the 10.1-inch display, which in the case of model S10-3t is multitouch and rotating (so the equipment can work in tablet mode). It is also worth adding that the board found the two new Windows 7, modems, 3G, and GPS modules (unfortunately it is not known whether they will be fitted as standard).
More details about the described device will be announced during the premiere, which may take place January 11 next year, a day after the official presentation of the expected 450 atom at the Consumer Electronics Show. On the same day is also likely that other producers (such as Acer, Asustek and MSI) will present their designs using the platform Pina Trail.
Pine Trail is a platform-based systems Pineview, representing the next version of the Atom processor. Pineview Systems (announced by Intel in the middle of this year) have an integrated memory controller and graphics processor. As a result, the entire platform is built from two (rather than three, as was the case with the Atom platform) chips: CPU and Chipset Pineview Tiger Point.
