Strictly Come Dancing star James Jordan also spoke out, adding: "So much bad stuff been going on in the world recently and then I just heard that Mike Thalassitis from Love Island died at age 26".

The Love Island star, who was nicknamed Muggy Mike, was found in a forest near his home in Essex on Friday, according to reports.

After his time on Love Island in 2017, Thalassitis continued his career on reality TV on "Celebs Go Dating" the following year.

He had previously been in a relationship with country singer Megan McKenna, who was a star in The Only Way Is Essex. "Mike, you were loved by all of the Love Island family", Love Island co-star Tyla Rosie Carr tweeted. I can't put into words how much this hurts and doesn't feel real.

Chris Hughes wrote: "Every inch of my heart goes out to his family & friends".

He said: "I genuinely can't believe what I'm seeing here".
