Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 5G coming to Europe in May for €599

Xiaomi has been testing this device for quite some time but today, the company has finally announced a firm release date and pricing for Mi Mix 3 5G.

China's Xiaomi has launched its contribution to a new wave of smartphones that will be able to take advantage of faster 5G mobile networks at a lower price than analysts expect from rivals such as Samsung.

The Mi Mix 3 5G also sport a hybrid cooling system, 3,800 mAh battery, and a dedicated Google Assistant button, while still packing that neato magnetic slider for the front camera and 12Mp dual cameras setup on the back. Moreover, the Mi Mix 3 5G will go on sale starting May this year through Authorised Mi Stores, Mi.com, and select retail channels.

The Mi MIX 3 5G has all the things you love from the regular Mi MIX 3 but swaps out the Snapdragon 845 for the newer and more powerful Snapdragon 845 processor. Xiaomi claims its 5G smartphone will be theoretically capable of downloading a 15-minute video sized 256MB in just 1 second. It runs Android 9.0 and comes with Xiaomi's MIUI 10 skin.

Xiaomi kicked off the event with 5G - because 5G is the Barcelona buzzword this week - refreshing last fall's Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 with a new 5G version. It also has the Qualcomm X50 modem for 5G.

The Xiaomi Mi 9 price in the global markets has been set at Euro 449 (roughly Rs. 36,200) for the base 6GB RAM/ 64GB storage variant, while the 6GB RAM/ 128GB storage model will be available at Euro 499 (roughly Rs. 40,200). Among them is the Mi 9, getting its worldwide launch party. It also features an in-display fingerprint scanner.

The Mi 9 is available in Spain, France and Italy for pre-order now; it will show up in stores on February 28.

Additionally, Xiaomi launched the Mi LED Smart Bulb at its pre-MWC conference with a price tag of Euro 19.9 (roughly Rs. 1.600). The 5G device will be priced from 599 Euros (about RM2,768) and it comes in Onyx Black and Sapphire Blue.
