Di Maria struggled at Manchester United

The Argentina worldwide was only at Manchester United for one year before he refused to join them on a pre season tour in order to force a move to PSG.

The Argentine became United's record signing when he made the move from Spanish giants Real Madrid to England for £60 million ($77 million) in 2014, inheriting the club's fabled number 7 shirt in the process.

Both Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain have been charged by Uefa for the behaviour of some fans who attended Tuesday night's Champions League tie at Old Trafford.

- Angel Di Maria shouted at Man United's fans after PSG took the lead at Old Trafford.

Prior to the goals, Di Maria was waiting to take a corner in the first half and several bottles were thrown in his direction - the Argentine reacting by picking one up and pretending to drink from it. Di Maria was handed the famed No. 7 jersey at the club, but the pacey wide man never really managed to live up to the lofty expectations that were placed on him upon his arrival. There were problems with the coach at the time.

But late in the first half, Di Maria's end was up.

'I'm very happy. It's always risky with him, with corners, and of course a superb assist for the second goal in the open position and with a ideal pass for Kylian.

The manager said: 'I thought he had a good relationship with the fans. Also, during an incident in the first half, Ashley Young shoved him off the pitch and he rolled into a metal barrier, but was able to continue after treatment.

Unsurprisingly, Twitter users did not pass up the opportunity to remind United fans of not only Di Maria's return, but what happened on the pitch. "If you tease him, it does not make him weaker", he said, Sky Sports reported.
