Fugitive former MMA fighter Cedric Marks is considered"extremely dangerous by US police

A multi-agency police manhunt is underway for an escaped prisoner, Cedric Joseph Marks.

Cedric Marks, a veteran of 59 professional mixed martial arts bouts, escaped from a "private prisoner transport" in Conroe, Texas, on Sunday, according to a report from Houston-based station KHOU 11.

"Marks is considered extremely unsafe", sheriff's officials wrote.

The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office's initial tweet about the escape said Crews was facing three "pending murder charges, " but it didn't immediately respond to requests for further information about those charges.

The post from the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office is the first time law enforcement had tied him directly to the crime. The search is focusing near a McDonald's at North Loop 336 and North Frazer. According to reports out of Central Texas, the Scott and Swearingin cases have Bloomington police taking a second look at Marks, although he had an alibi 10 years ago.

Kent County, Michigan, officials turned Marks over to U.S. Prisoner Transportation on Thursday morning for extradition to Texas, the CBS affiliate reported. The shirt was found by law enforcement after he fled.

Marks had been extradited from MI after he was accused of breaking into the Temple, Texas, home of Jenna Scott, his ex-girlfriend, according to KCEN. Their bodies were found January 15 in Oklahoma, and three days later Marks was named a suspect.

Scott filed for a protective order against Marks in August, alleging he broke into her home while her daughter, who was 9, was present and took her mobile phone to prevent her from calling 911.

Another Marks ex-girlfriend, April Pease, the mother of his child, disappeared in 2009 in Minnesota. Pease went missing in March 2009 and Marks got custody of their son.
