Players reluctant to join Cardiff after Sala disappearance - Warnock

Sala was travelling from Nantes to Cardiff in the small passenger plane when it disappeared from radars on January 21st.

Fans left their tributes outside Gate 3 to the northwest of Cardiff City Stadium, surrounding the statue of 1927 FA Cup winnerand club legend Fred Keenor.

Last Monday, debris from the missing aircraft was recovered, believed to be seat cushions from the plane's interior.

The Argentinian footballer had signed for Cardiff for a club record £15 million in the January transfer window.

A minute's silence was held before the game with Bournemouth at 17:30 GMT.

Cardiff's players, who sported daffodils embroidered on their shirts in Sala's honour, celebrated Reid's first goal by racing to the home dugout and holding up a blue shirt bearing Sala's photograph.

Speaking from Guernsey harbour, Mr Mearns said his team would work jointly with a second vessel commissioned by the AAIB.

"The family are devastated we're trying to provide answers, that's the ultimate objective".

"Hopefully, they haven't disturbed anything beyond anything like that and we have a very good chance of finding this".

An official search following the plane's disappearance was called off three days after the incident.

It prompted a privately-funded search to be set-up, with £324,000 was raised in an online appeal.

Mearns said two vessels would focus on searching the seabed in a 10 square nautical kilometre zone north of Guernsey, an island in the English Channel off the coast of Normandy.

There was a series of tributes before kick-off with Sala's photograph appearing on the front cover of the matchday programme and the two captains, Sol Bamba and Andrew Surman, laying floral tributes on the halfway line.

And Sky News reporter Tom Parmenter has reported that the plane has been located on the seabed.
