R. Kelly Under Investigation in Georgia Following New Documentary's Abuse Allegations: Report

The parents are claiming R. Kelly has brainwashed them. Women including the singer's ex-wife Andrea Kelly have claimed to have suffered from abuse at the hands of the singer.

R. Kelly has received swift backlash from some of his peers, including "Shark Tank" star Daymond John, who told the rapper to kill himself in prison.

Two men approached the studio entrance and paused before the door as they surveyed the crowd across the street. Griggs said Fulton County investigators "haven't confirmed or denied an investigation".

"The recent allegations against entertainer R. Kelly in the recent Lifetime docuseries are deeply, deeply disturbing", Foxx said during a news conference on Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2019, in Chicago.

A Chicago prosecutor is urging potential victims of R. Kelly to come forward and help bring him to justice. There's nothing that can be done to investigate these allegations without the cooperation of both victims and witnesses. But an IL prosecutor's plea for potential victims and witnesses to come forward has sparked hope among some advocates that the R&B star might face new charges. The office said it is "reviewing and following up" on the calls, but has no additional information at this time.

Greenberg says the state's attorney shouldn't be soliciting cases, adding there are no current complaints and no evidence because it didn't happen.

On Wednesday, in an interview with WGN News, Greenberg said no one in Chicago has come forward with accusations because Kelly did nothing illegal.

Foxx's plea comes after reports that authorities in Fulton County, Georgia launched a criminal investigation into Kelly, who is alleged to have previously abused and otherwise mistreated women in an Atlanta-area home. Russell reportedly said the Savages were providing "false information" for the documentary.

A father, who believes his daughter is being held captive by R. Kelly, says he was threatened by the singer's manager. Kelly was free to go about his business. In the police report, Timothy said Mason stated, "I'm gonna do harm to you and your family when I see you I'm gonna get you, I'm going to f***ing kill you."⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀.

When the warrant was issued in July, the judge cited "terroristic threats and acts".
