Cesc Fabregas has reached an agreement to join Monaco from Chelsea FC in the January transfer window, according to reports in the Italian media.

Callum Hudson-Odoi impressed in the Forest win, setting up both of Morata's goals, and Fabregas backed the teenager - linked with a move to Bayern Munich - to have a bright future. Fabregas' contract is set to expire at the end of the season and he has chose to leave the club this month in search for a new challenge. Morata also missed an open goal from two yards out in the match but was relieved to see the assistant referee's flag up for offside.

Chelsea striker Alvaro Morata feels he has been shown a lack of respect by the club and refused to celebrate his goals against Nottingham Forest to make his feelings clear.

However, it's FA Cup matters that are the focus this weekend and Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri will get his first taste of the worlds oldest club football competition when he welcomes Nottingham Forest to west London tomorrow.

It is the latest blow in a frustrating campaign for Loftus-Cheek, who has started just three of the club's 21 Premier League matches.

The same article, though, says that Fabregas' move away from Stamford Bridge will not be officially confirmed until Chelsea FC sign a new central midfielder to replace him. Morata then doubled the lead with a header 10 minutes later as Sarri's mean eased into the fourth round.

The afternoon's last notable moment saw Fabregas given a standing ovation as he left the field in the 85th minute, the Chelsea faithful rising to acknowledge a man who helped the club to two Premier League titles in a trophy-laden four-and-a-half years at the club.

What does it mean?

Steele was the hero again later in the half, meanwhile, as he dived down to his right to push aside Fabregas's stuttered spot kick after Ruben Loftus-Cheek was brought down in the box by Danny Fox.
