Bulls trade Justin Holiday to Grizzlies, report says

Wojnarowski added that the Grizzlies are giving up their 2019 and 2020 picks to the Bulls in the deal.

The Bulls sent shooting guard Justin Holiday to the Grizzlies for shooting guards Wayne Selden and MarShon Brooks, as well as two second-round draft picks. This season, Brooks is averaging 6.6 points and 1.6 rebounds in 13.3 minutes over 29 games.

Brooks, meanwhile, is a 29-year-old veteran who has played the most games this season since his 2012-2013 campaign with the Brooklyn Nets. According to Shams Charania, the Bulls neither plan on having Brooks report to the team or to waive him. He was also with the Bulls during part of the 2015-16 season after being traded from the Atlanta Hawks. Over his National Basketball Association career, Selden has averaged 7.0 points, 1.4 rebounds and 1.4 assists in 17.1 minutes per game.

Holiday started in all 38 games for Chicago this season.

Chicago waived Cameron Payne to clear a roster spot.

The Chicago Tribune reported in the wake of the deal that the Bulls still have small forward Jabari Parker and center Robin Lopez on the trade market.

Payne has averaged 5.7 points and 2.7 assists while primarily coming off the bench in 31 games.
