YouTube is fully on board with Coachella's fully fledged plan to live-stream both weekends of their 2019 festival.

It typically attracts some of the biggest names in music with previous headliners including Beyonce, Guns "N" Roses, Lady Gaga and Drake.

Perth band Tame Impala has been handed top spot on the 2019 Coachella bill, alongside Childish Gambino and Ariana Grande.

Grande's appearance at the festival comes on the heels of Beyonce headlining previous year alongside The Weeknd and Eminem.

Kanye West was rumoured to be headlining the show but apparently oulled out over disagreements about his stage set-up. Other notable acts include Solange, Janelle Monáe, Aphex Twin, Billie Eilish, The 1975, Anderson.Paak, Kacey Musgraves, Kid Cudi, Weezer, CHVRCHES, Gesaffelstein, Christine and the Queens, Mac DeMarco, Maggie Rogers, Blood Orange, and Jaden Smith.

She wrote: 'humbled and excited as all hell @coachella [cactus emoji] thank u'. Grande added a cactus emoji.

Once a year, music artists from across all genres and fans from all over the world make their pilgrimage to Coachella as the premiere concert experience.

Organisers say it attracted 250,000 people in 2017.

The festival will once again take place over two weekends from 12 - 14 April and then again from 19 - 21 April.
