"People who usually commit this type of crime, they usually talk about it or confide in somebody", Major Jesse Razo told reporters on Sunday, encouraging those with any information to report it to the sheriff's office.

The red pickup fled the scene. "A total of 5 occupants in the vehicle witnessed this innocent child, their loved one, shot and killed before their eyes". The suspect was described as a man, white, in his 40s, with a beard. "So senseless. It's never easy, and extra hard during the holiday season", Gonzalez tweeted on December 30.

He was still at large as of Sunday morning.

LaPorsha Washington, 30, was leaving a Walmart parking lot in Houston at around 7 a.m. with four children in her vehicle, according to Harris County's Sheriff's Office.

"I urge you, whoever did this, you know who you are", Razo said.
