Cape Town - Disgraced actor Kevin Spacey was spotted in public for the first time since he was accused of sexual assault in 2017.

A MA judge on Monday denied actor Kevin Spacey's request to skip his upcoming arraignment on a felony charge he faces for allegedly sexually assaulting an 18-year-old man at a Nantucket bar in 2016, court documents show. On Sunday, he was spotted in Baltimore, according to the Daily Mail , which relayed a odd incident in which he handed a pizza to a photographer.

"I appreciate what you're doing", Spacey can be heard telling the photographer in video captured by TMZ. "Keep warm and have a happy New Year". On the day he was charged, the actor released a freakish video on his social media accounts in which he revived his deceased House of Cards character, Frank Underwood, to deliver a pre-prepared monologue protesting his innocence.

On Friday, the Baltimore Sun published a story theorizing that Spacey's instantly infamous video had been filmed in a local luxury condo at Pier Homes at Harborview in Baltimore.

And then there's the hat he donned for his paparazzi pizza party.

Spacey retired in 2017 like a horse with a shattered leg retires from the Kentucky Derby.

Spacey, 59, said in the court filing he wants to waive the appearance at the January 7 hearing because he lives out of state and he believes that his "presence will amplify the negative publicity already generated in connection with this case".
