Another actress who married recently, Priyanka Chopra has lost her last year's seventh rank (Rs 68 crore) and settled for No 49 with Rs 18 crore as earnings in 2018, according to Forbes.

At No. 4 in the celebrity list, Deepika is the highest earning woman celebrity while co-actor Ranveer Singh is four places behind at No. 8 spot. Last year, their number was 21.

The top spot on 2018 Forbes India Celebrity 100 went to actor Salman Khan, completing his hat-trick of being the richest celebrity in the country.

Thanks to his blockbuster films, many brand endorsements and the television projects, the 52-year-old actor Salman Khan raked in Rs 253.25 Cr between 1st October 2017, and 30th September, 2018, becoming the country's highest paid celeb for the third consecutive year. With Rs 228.09 Cr earnings, it's Virat Kohli, who stand on 2nd position in the list of Forbes India Celebrity 100.

The list has been dominated by the Bollywood celebrities and sports persons, most of the prominent names featuring in it. Forbes has ranked him at 13th on the list with is annual income pegged at Rs 56 crore. Former Indian cricket captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni is fifth after raking in Rs 101.77 crore. Akshay Kumar (Rs 185 cr) follows next. It is Rajinikanth who leads among the souther celebrities and he has been placed at the 14th spot.

Fifteen celebrities on the list are from South India - Tamil and Telugu film industries have seven actors each, while Kerala has one.

Bollywood diva, Deepika Padukone bagged fourth position with the earnings of Rs. 114crore for Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Padmaavat.

Deepika Padukone has become the first ever woman to rank among the top five richest celebrities in India according to a list published by the Forbes India magazine.
