Fossil has a new smartwatch powered by Wear OS, Fossil Sport, available this week starting at $255.

The company says the 350 mAh unit, with the help of Wear 3100, will be able to eke out a day of life based on the "full smartwatch experience", which we assume includes some HR tracking and Global Positioning System.

Qualcomm's Snapdragon Wear 3100 processor is making its way into another Wear OS smartwatch. The newly redesigned Google Fit app will be a great companion to the Fossil Sport along with the snappy Snapdragon 3100. According to Fossil, the Sport will last a full day in full smartwatch mode and then an additional two days in a low-power, time-telling only mode.

There's also a good reason why the Fossil Sport is 55 bucks pricier than the Fitbit Versa.

And, naturally, the whole show will continue to run on Google's Wear OS platform, which was recently given a makeover in order to improve day-to-day usability.

According to Fossil, the watch will come in a 41mm and 43mm size options, with six colorways and a huge collection of interchangeable straps to choose from. The watch can track your heart rate and record runs and workouts with its altimeter, accelerometer, and gyroscope sensors and Global Positioning System functionality. The Fossil Sport can be acquired in 41-millimeter or 43-millimeter sizes.
