The Duchess of Sussex was no stranger to the spotlight before heading to Oceania with her husband on their first royal tour together.

When Meghan saw it, her mouth fell open and she was heard saying "Ooh my God" before rushing over to give her a big hug. While acting was her full-time job, she spent a lot of her time off-screen inspiring people - especially women - through her social media accounts.

Meghan Markle got a sweet surprise from one of her longtime fans.

Swapping her sheer Givenchy skirt for a pair of black jeans and flats, the Duchess of Sussex, 37, chucked on a matching puffer jacket.

Clearly keen to get the duo's attention, one well-wisher handed Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern a ginormous floral arrangement.

While walking along the city's Viaduct Harbour, Meghan was spotted by the young girl, Hannah, and she quickly walked over to chat and give her a hug.

She told an audience of students: "It was through scholarships, financial aid programmes and work-study - where my earnings from a job on campus went directly towards my tuition - that I was able to attend university".

Nelson Poll, 11, was on Meghan's team and said: "I think Harry's technique was better - it was straight forward instead of going at an angle".

"It means the world to me", Sergel said. I am so shaky and flustered.

Harry and Meghan arrived in New Zealand on Sunday after earlier visiting Australia, Fiji and Tonga.

The use of Te Reo Maori language is experiencing a revival in New Zealand, after years of decline due to historical policies that cracked down on the use of the language, particularly in schools. She isn't the first royal to rock skinny jeans while pregnant: Kate Middleton famously wore skinny jeans when she was eight months pregnant.

The couple were draped in woven Maori cloaks when they were greeted in Rotorua for the final day of the tour.
