Analysts wondered if OU head coach Lincoln Riley would be considered for the position, especially considering his close ties with Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield. This is good news both for us-the man is a Ron Swanson quote come to life-and also this OH mother-to-be, who used her baby bump and the Hard Knocks standout for a little Halloween costume inspo this weekend.

The Browns became only the second side to go through a 16-game National Football League season without winning last year, having gone 1-15 in Jackson's first season in charge the year before.

The Browns will be getting a jump start on every other team to begin the process of hiring a new head coach, which could prove to be valuable.

Jackson's firing came a day after the Browns (2-5-1) lost their 25th straight road game - 20 of them coming with Jackson in charge. He was previously the head coach at Oakland in 2011 and had assistant jobs with the Redskins, Bengals, Falcons and Ravens.

Browns fired Hue Jackson, per source.

The last six coaches for the Browns have all been fired following a loss to the Steelers.

Schefter also reports that the Browns will have to pay Jackson through the 2019 season, per his contract.

Jackson, pictured with Joe Flacco the Baltimore Ravens earlier this month, was sacked after three wins in three seasons. So the Browns will be contractually obligated to him through 2019 season.
