Minnesota Timberwolves: Jimmy Butler is selfish and an actor

Anthony Tolliver, who's been on nine teams in 10 seasons, said that he's never witnessed anything quite like the Butler situation during his time in the league, but he insisted that it's not a distraction for him.

Butler then addressed the tirade in an interview with ESPN's Sportscenter.

Minnesota's season begins October 17 against the Spurs.

Jimmy Butler apparently decided that if you are being forced to join them, beat them.

Despite his owner's intent to deal Butler, Thibodeau wasn't done trying to keep his star shooting guard.

I know this won't be a popular take for a lot of Minnesota Timberwolves' fans or National Basketball Association fans in general, but Jimmy Butler loves himself more than anything at the moment.

The first reports of serious negotiations arose in the first week of October.

Butler's preferred trade destination is the Miami Heat, but talks between the two sides have broken down.

Butler made an appearance at the Timberwolves facility for the first time this offseason on Monday, per The Athletic's Jon Krawczyinski.

The Rockets can now be added to the list of teams that have rejected significant demands, reportedly turning down a Butler for P.J. Tucker and Eric Gordon deal.

Once again, Jimmy Butler is selfish and an actor, it's that simple.

"Y'all better hurry up", Butler woofed, according to three people in the gym at the time.

It is unclear if Butler made his full-time return to the Timberwolves season or just proved a point of some kind in the practice. Screaming from the top of his lungs, Butler uttered taunts at his teammates such as "They ain't [expletive]!" and "They soft!", league sources said. "I don't know if it will give you five or seven more years of winning".
