Fortnite Season 6 Update Removes A Bunch Of Weapons

That isn't the only change to the map though, there's other new locations including a Haunted Castle, Corn Fields and "Corrupted Areas" that have presumably been warped by the purple cube. You'll also notice that the island inside Loot Lake has lifted off the ground, so that's sweet. It just has a floating island on top of it now.

The Haunted Castle/Haunted House gets Fortnite ready for some Halloween celebrations, with the spooky new POI featuring its own adjacent graveyard.

You can now have a pet in 'Fortnite, ' which sits in your backpack. Each pet is available in a variety of different color schemes, and if you want them all, you'll need to work your way all the way up to Battle Pass tier 98, which isn't exactly an easy feat. You can't use your weapons when you are invisible, though, which only works when you are stationary. Epic has also made tweaks to a handful of other weapons; namely, the Double Barrel Shotgun's damage output has been reduced, while the Grappler will now take into account momentum when you fire it at a moving object. But the most epic thing about this new item is that you can literally go through anything in the world, phasing through whatever comes in your way.

Fortnite Season 6 has officially begun after servers returned online on Thursday, and players feverishly exploring the map for potential updates which had been suggested in recent weeks.

Full details regarding the new features, performance fixes and more can be found in Epic's patch notes for version 6.00.
