Monday’s cool and cloudy weather will give way to a storm on Tuesday but temperatures could reach 80 on Wednesday

A chilly start to Wednesday is expected with partly cloudy skies and lows in the 40s and 50s.

Overnight we will see some showers and the wind is south at 30 km/h, gusting to 50 and temperatures fall to a low off 16°C.

For Saturday evening, temperatures will remain in the 80s until about 8:00 or 9:00 pm. Temperatures will warm into the work week before this frontal system moves in bringing scattered showers and storms. We're forecasting better odds for seeing that bright ball in the sky this upcoming weekend.

Scattered showers and isolated tunderstorm pockets.

Tonight: Mostly clear to partly cloudy. This action will be coming at us from southwest to northeast and is ahead of a strong cold front. Times with sun and clouds will be accompanied by the refreshing lower 70s both days.

The cold front will pass through our area this evening with winds shifting to the northwest and showers/thunderstorms carried on east tonight, as colder air sweeps into northern IL and northwest Indiana. Highs will only be in the upper 50s, which is 5-10° below normal.
