But Mourinho was again left questioning the attitude of his players after what was a thoroughly deserved point for Wolves, who could have left with all three.

Wolverhampton will visit Manchester United at Old Trafford on Saturday as Premier League action continues.

"I think we are going to be a better team".

"But I think the work being done at Wolves is good because is not just about Portuguese influence, a Portuguese manager, staff and players".

'I don't change that because we won two matches in the Premier League.

Less then a month after deservedly drawing with Manchester City they had earned a point against Manchester's other big club, with Diogo Jota, Joao Moutinho and Ruben Neves the stand out players in a team high on spirit.

Lukaku was particularly poor against Wolves and there was one moment in the 83rd minute, with the scores level at 1-1, that summed up his performance.

"This is about the beginning of last season, from the first day we started working here", Nuno added.

"It's a situation that the players knew perfectly, that they press in midfield", he said after the game.

"It is a basic law of football, you have to play at the maximum of your potential, unless you are playing in such a weak league against such weak opponents where playing at 30 percent of your potential is enough".

"And I could say [we were] exhausted, Champions League, very bad pitch [at Young Boys], the body suffered a different impact than a match in natural grass, not coming home after the match. We all know that is not the case (in the Premier League)", he said.

"I am optimistic, but it will be a hard season, yes", he said.

"I think the team is more compact, more solid".

Do you agree with his comments after the 1-1 draw at Old Trafford?

Speaking at his pre-match media conference ahead of their clash against Wolves on Saturday afternoon, Mourinho highlighted some improvements his team have made. "He plays Tuesday again [against Derby County in the Carabao Cup]".
