Three infants were injured after being stabbed at a home day care center in Flushing, Queens, CBS New York reports.

NY reports that authorities say the stabbings happened just before 4 a.m. Friday.

A female day care worker was also stabbed, as well as a 31-year-old man.

A 52-year-old woman is in police custody at a nearby hospital after she was found unconscious in the basement of the house, where the daycare centre was located, with a self-inflicted wound to her wrist. A butcher knife and meat cleaver were found at the scene, according to authorities.
