It feels like a good time to analyse how Klopp has fared at Anfield as an away game against Tottenham nearly three years ago was the first match in charge for the German, but are Liverpool actually any better now?

Jürgen Klopp's team extended their winning run at the start of the season to five games as a result of the victory - one Alexander-Arnold credited to the tactics they employed.

After two weeks of an worldwide break both sides will be looking to maintain their early season momentum.

"I like that development, to be honest, and now we have to prove that and to do it again and again and again".

Dele Alli and Hugo Lloris are both out for Spurs, but Son makes a return for them from the Asian games (where South Korea won Gold).

It is a regular complaint of Premier League managers that global breaks deny them any kind of preparation time with their players ahead of the game which immediately follows them.

Spurs play host to Liverpool and will look to put an end to the Reds' unbeaten streak this campaign but given the way Klopp's side has gone about things thus far, the Lily Whites face a tough test.

Liverpool have confirmed that Roberto Firmino has been discharged from hospital following an assessment on an eye injury sustained in Saturday's 2-1 win at Tottenham.

"In some periods they were better and showed more individual quality in moments and they created more chances because they were good".

"Tottenham are not really happy at the moment with the result and not with the performance, but because we were that good it was so hard for Tottenham".

"He came from another league playing in a completely different system to us and that takes time. We have seen that we can do it", Klopp said.

The only cloud hanging over an otherwise successful afternoon in London was an eye injury sustained by Firmino during a 75th-minute clash with Jan Vertonghen that saw Spurs awarded a free-kick. I have no clue exactly what happened.

"The issue will be monitored and treated by Liverpool's medical staff at Melwood before any decision is made on whether Firmino will be able to figure in Tuesday evening's Champions League encounter with Paris Saint-Germain at Anfield".
