Samsung Galaxy J2 Core Android Go smartphone official: Specifications, features

The smartphone features a 5-inch qHD display, 540 x 960 pixels of resolution and 220 PPI density. At the heart of the Galaxy A8 Star, we have the Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 Mobile Platform, coupled with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of onboard storage.

Samsung hasn't revealed pricing yet though, given the slightly larger screen than the Nokia 1, it could be expected to be priced higher than $70.

The company has confirmed that the Galaxy A8 Star will be exclusively available on Amazon (online only) for Rs 34,990 from August 27 onward.

Samsung has teamed with Ninja to promote the brand's newest phone. It comes in Midnight Black and Ivory White colour options. As for the cameras, there's a 16MP primary sensor on the rear with f/1.7 lens, LED flash which is paired with a 24MP secondary sensor for adding depth effect to the images. For taking pictures and recording video, the handset offers an 8MP camera with flash at the rear and a 5MP camera in front. It comes with Live Focus feature or Samsung's take on the 'Bokeh effect, ' to blur out the background, while keeping the object in sharp focus.

The new Note 9 has their S Pen with new Bluetooth support to allow control of phone functions and a huge 4,000 mAh battery.

Other features of the Galaxy A8 Start include, "Always On" display, Dual Messenger feature to let users create separate messenger accounts on the same phone for official and personal usage. The internal memory will also be expandable up to 400GB via microSD card. Samsung's third new product, the Bixby-powered Galaxy Home smart speaker, doesn't yet have a release date or a projected price point. Also, Samsung's UI looks a lot better than it used to and works great on high-end handsets.
