Near the end of Game 1 of the Finals, Draymond Green and Tristan Thompson got into a bit of an altercation.

The bad blood that got to boiling during the past NBA Finals between Cleveland Cavaliers big man Tristan Thompson and Golden State Warriors do-it-all enforcer Draymond Green got really hot.

The two National Basketball Association players reportedly got into a fistfight in a Los Angeles nightclub, just a month after Green's Golden State Warriors won another championship over Thompson's Cleveland Cavaliers in a finals series where they figured in on-court altercations.

The fight was reportedly broken up by LeBron James and Kevin Durant, who were both teammates of Green and Thompson last season.

Reports from Bossip and The Big Lead, which were also picked up by other USA sports media outlets, said the incident happened inside LA nightspot Delilah during a private party after the ESPY Awards last July 18.

Green then told Thompson, "Come on, I didn't mean it", and then Tristan laid a punch on the Warriors' big man.

Game 1 of the 2018 NBA Finals will go down in history as the "Oh no, what the hell is JR Smith doing?" game, but the end of overtime had plenty of drama.

At Golden State's victory parade, Green explained why he didn't give Thompson any respect, saying "Tristan, we ain't cut the same". "It was more like a shove". Other reports have described it as a legit punch, maybe even a quick one-two.

Although noticeably in gameplay Green comes across as the aggressor, McIntyre reveals that it was Thompson who wasn't trying to hear the peace talk off the court. Several NBA stars, among them LeBron and Kevin Durant, intervened. They were reminded this wasn't that type of party.

The party continued with Green and Thompson co-existing without incident.

The feud between Draymond Green and Tristan Thompson is apparently far from settled. "It was much ado about nothing".
