The deals represent another way for Amazon to legitimize Prime Day, essentially a shopping event the company created for Amazon Prime customers with deals similar to those of Black Friday or Cyber Monday. This offer is only applicable during the Amazon Prime Day sale slated for 16-17 July.

You can go to Amazon's website right now and create an account to try Amazon Prime for free for 30 days. Newegg plans to have a huge four-day sale on electronics starting July 16 (what a coincidence!), and there will be sales starting July 11 leading up to the big day.

Amazon is going all out with its messaging inside the stores, notifying shoppers that Prime members - who pay $119 per year for an array of Amazon-related benefits - can get exclusive deals at Whole Foods on various items.

There will be exclusive deals on a bunch of Amazon products and Echo devices.

If you're hoping to nab a bargain in this year's Amazon Prime Day reductions, it's worth knowing that you don't need to be a fully signed-up Prime member to take advantage. This offer is in addition to the recently launched Amazon devices selection of Fire TV sticks, Kindle, Kindle Paperwhite (WiFI), Echo Dot and Echo on Prime Now.

There's aPrime Day Guide, which includes tips about how to find out about the best deals first. Just download the Whole Foods Market app and scan the Prime Code. As of April 2018, it had more than 100 million members. A year ago customers in 13 counties could participate.

If you're looking for a different form of entertainment, there's access to some free games through Hue or a $10 credit towards a free stream on Prime Video.

Notably, products avaialble on the Prime Now app qualify for a fast delivery time of 2 hours for Prime members between 6 AM to Midnight.
