This morning, Amazon accidentally revealed the date of Prime Day 2018.

The innovatively titled Prime Day 2018 is set to take place this July and for anyone currently wondering what a Prime Day actually is, precisely, here's what you need to know - Prime Day is a now-annual celebration of Amazon's own anniversary.

If you're not certain you want to commit, there is a 30-day free trial available for Amazon Prime, which will still allow you to access all of the Prime Day deals. Furthermore, the prime subscription members get exclusive access to offers and deals during the Amazon sale days.

Keeping the needs of the users in mind Amazon has introduced a monthly subscription plan of Rs. 129 which will provide the users with all the available Prime benefits for a month.

In a little more than a year since launch in India, Amazon's bet on original Hindi shows and a library of films in five local languages has paid off - India is the fastest-growing market for its Prime Video service, Leslie added.

Last year, Prime Day began at 9pm Eastern / 6pm Pacific, and ended at midnight Pacific.

"We're delighted to be the first United Kingdom pay TV service to offer Amazon Prime Video content to our customers", said Tony Singh, content and business development director for BT's Consumer division.

Prime Day comes later than expected and TechRadar speculates the 2018 World Cup edition in Russian Federation might be to blame. According to, if the books in your box cost less than $22.99 if you were to buy them yourself, Amazon will charge you the lower price. You can't simply sit in front of your computer refreshing Amazon's homepage expecting to get the best deal. The banner for Prime Day 2018 did not indicate if it will start at the same time again this year.

In addition to running their own promotions, some retailers promised a year ago to price-match Amazon's Prime Day deals.
