It will take place at The Chapel Royal, St James's Palace, London - the same place Prince George was also christened.

The baby prince will be baptized by the Archbishop of Canterbury, the Most Reverend Justin Welby, who recently Wednesday Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

Louis Arthur Charles - to give him his full name - was born on 23 April.

Who will christen Prince Louis?

In 2015, his sister Princess Charlotte was christened at St. Mary Magdalene Church in Sandringham, a royal estate near England's eastern coast.

Prince Louis will be around three-months old by the time he is christened at the Chapel Royal in St James's Palace on Monday July, 9.

But on July 9, he'll be the star of the show, as Prince William and Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge have announced that's the date for the official christening of their third child.

Born on April 23, His Royal Highness Prince Louis of Cambridge is fifth in line to the throne, and the sixth great-grandchild of Queen Elizabeth.

He was on his best behaviour, blowing bubbles beforehand and being quiet and peaceful afterwards.

He weighed eight pounds seven ounces (3.83 kg) and is the third child of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.

George held William's hand, while baby Charlotte was pushed by Kate in a vintage pram, previously used for two of the Queen's children.

Since his birth, Louis has not been seen in public although his family did issue official photographs of the new royal last month.

Newlyweds Meghan Markle and Prince Harry will also make an appearance.
