It's all fun and games, until you realise you can actually play Skyrim: Very Special Edition. And yes, some people love it so much they'll pretend that's what it is.

Bethesda Softworks Some "Skyrim" fans took the video as a joke and believed it was a not-so-subtle nod to Bethesda's numerous remasters of the almost seven-year-old game, all of which have made their way to current generation consoles, including the Nintendo Switch.

To play Skyrim Very Special Edition on an Alexa device is really simple.

Of course, the longer Keegan-Michael Key destroys his home in the process of playing the game, it's clear that maybe voice-based gaming isn't the right fit for Skyrim.

Once the Skill is linked to your device, you then say "Alexa, Open Skyrim" and the quest starts.

Enable Skyrim - Before you can play, you will need to enable the Skyrim Game on Alexa.

All users have to do to partake in the adventure is say, "Play Skyrim". Skills like Magicka level up as you use their associated abilities, but the game doesn't make a distinction between the different forms of magic like Destruction, Restoration, or adjustment.

While the Alexa version of Skyrim was real, I'm still pretty sure the pager and smart refrigerator versions at the end of the video are fake.

The description for the app details that it is "the version of Skyrim you never saw coming" and that it has "finally arrived on the platform you never asked for".

"For the very first time ever, take your rightful place as the Dragonborn of legend (again) and explore Skyrim using the power of your own voice...your Thu'um!"
