Video: Sri Devi daughter's debut trailer finally out

Marking the debut of Ishaan Khatter and Janhvi Kapoor, everything about this movie has been highly anticipated! While Khatter has already made a noticeable debut with Majid Majidi's Beyond the Clouds, Kapoor will make her debut with Dhadak. Janhvi managed to just say that she "missed" her and nearly got teary eyed.

Incidentally, Ishaqzaade, too, was loosely inspired by Romeo and Juliet and went on to become one of the biggest hits of 2012.

The debutant was also asked how much she missed Sridevi, who passed away in February this year.

2016 film Sairat was directed by Nagraj Manjule.

Janhvi said that as an actor she has tried to follow her mother's advice which was to work hard and feel every emotion. But my character is different from hers.

Post Sridevi's untimely demise, the growing bond between all of Boney Kapoor's kids, Arjun, Anshula, Jhanvi and Khushi has grown stronger. "Firstly, sorry I'm not there in Mumbai but I'm by your side, don't worry", Arjun tweeted on Sunday night. "It's not going to be easy but I know you are ready for all the madness that will ensue", the Mubarakaan actor wrote. Arjun wrote, "All the best for #Dhadak!".

Actor Arjun Kapoor, who is the half-brother of Janhvi, also extended his support to her in an Instagram post.

To this Janhvi had replied, writing, "I'll make you'll proud I promise".

While the original film was set in the backdrop of Maharashtra, Dhadak is set in the backdrop of Rajasthan.
