Amazon's Italian site has leaked the potential release date for Anthem about an hour ahead of EA Play, the first of the major E3 pressers planned by all of the big publishers. Kicking things off today in sunny LA, EA brought its big names out in full force - and gave us a few surprises too.

This time around the emphasis is on co-operation with Yarny joining forces with a new blue friend to traverse the diverse and handsome levels and overcome the many puzzles. Developer DICE also promised the game would get its own battle royale mode with the Battlefield twist - including destructible environments that can be wrecked by the game's war vehicles.

You'll still be building relationships and maintaining friendships, but you won't be falling for any specific characters the way we did in BioWare's previous games. The game has a singleplayer hub so that gamers can advance the story at their own pace, surrounded by a shared multiplayer world for everyone to shoot and jetpack their way through. The suits are called Javelins.

When it was released in 2016, the original Unravel game was a visual delight. Some new gameplay changes introduced include diving and rolling through windows and also customisation of weapons and vehicles to make them a lot better. But we're finding it doesn't really look like the kind of BioWare we've come to know - no alien flirting or tough narrative choices here. The haunting yet lovely tones set in the game explore the story of a young woman who turns into a monster due to her loneliness.

Gameplay showcased at the event primarily demonstrated the versatile Ranger and tanky Colossus Javelin models, but the Interceptor and Storm models were also confirmed. Opening and closing the show with clips and gameplay footage, developers announced a release date of February 22, 2019, for the upcoming action RPG. Both Battlefield V and Anthem will be monetized via cosmetics only which should mean heavier emphasis is put on engaging players with the content itself to keep everyone playing. Put on your Javelin suit, boost out into the wilderness, and you can team up with other players again. The team will do this by continuously adding new stories missions and locations to the game after launch.
