And as such, former White House photographer Pete Souza took the opportunity to troll Trump by posting a picture of his former boss, Barack Obama, yucking it up with New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski during their 2015 visit. Staying in the Locker Room for the playing of our National Anthem is as disrespectful to our country as kneeling.

Trump's statement cited only the anthem issue - whether they would take a knee in protest during the song, for which the president has berated players.

"You're going to argue with me about not wanting to go for simply a photo op with someone who I don't feel respects us as a leader".

"Praying before games with my teammates, well before the anthem, is being used for your propaganda?!"

Instead, the president said he will hold a "different type of ceremony - one that will honor our great country, pay tribute to the heroes who fight to protect it, and loudly and proudly play the National Anthem".

In the 2017 regular season, some players on the Eagles raised a fist but did not kneel.

He was one of the many Patriots who took a knee before the team's Week 3 game and after Trump used explicit language when talking about kneeling National Football League players. Most players (and there were many players, many players.) that wanted to opt out had decided long b4 the anthem rule came down.

Here are some of the notable things that were said by Pederson, as well as players in the locker room.

The day before the event, Mr. Trump disinvited the Eagles from their planned visit after it became clear that most members of the team were not going to attend.

Minutes before Tuesday's replacement event, White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders accused the Eagles of preforming a "political stunt" by boycotting the celebration before Trump even considered cancelling it, according to the New York Times.

Actually they did apologize for their mistake, which they would never allow another news organization to do, but I think showing kneeling players who are praying and saying it's during the anthem.that's the very definition of fake news.
