Just a few days ago, Xiaomi released the Redmi Note 5 AI and now they are back with another phone-the Redmi S2.

The phone is priced at Rs. 9,999 ($133) for the 3GB RAM variant and Rs. 12,999 ($192) for the 4GB RAM one. It will be available in India in Elegant Gold, Rose Gold and Dark Grey color options exclusively from Amazon India and from June 12. The successor to the not so popular Redmi Y1, the device comes with upgraded internals, a better camera and a new design that draws inspiration not only from the Redmi Note 5 Pro but also last year's Mi A1.

It comes with a metal finish body and sports 2.5D curved glass on the front.

The screen used here is a 5.99-inch HD+ with an 18:9 aspect ratio with a resolution of 1440 x 720 pixels. A 2GHz octa-core Snapdragon 625 processor could power it, coupled with 2GB/3GB/4GB RAM and 16GB/32GB/64GB storage. The phone comes in 3GB RAM with 32 GB of storage and 4 GB RAM and 64 GB of storage options. It runs on MIUI 9 on top of Android 8.1 Oreo. The company also announced the MIUI 10 Global ROM at the event. You are getting a dual camera setup with a 12MP and 5MP sensors with a f/2.2 aperture. The front camera is 20MP with LED flash.

For photography fanatics, MIUI 10 also enhances the portrait mode by introducing AI portrait mode found in dual cameras to single cameras to improve the photo quality significantly. Apapat supports fast charge standard Quick Charge 3.0, and battery capacity at Mi A2 is 2910 mAh.

Flipkart is also offering 5 percent discount if you pay using Visa Cards for first three payments and via Axis Bank Buzz Credit Card. The smartphone packs a 3080mAh battery which company claims to last for an entire day. Like other Xiaomi devices, Redmi Y2 also has a fingerprint sensor placed on the back of the phone. On the connectivity front, it features 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth 4.2, WiFi, GPS, GLONASS, dual-SIM, 3,5mm audio jack and micro USB 2.0. Now it makes its way to the Redmi Y2 where the tech detects backlit condition automatically and brings out more details both in an indoor and outdoor environment.
