With the win, the Warriors take a commanding 3-0 lead in the best-of-seven series.

It's hard enough to beat the Warriors once, but now down 2-0 in the series, the Cavs essentially have to win four out of the next five to win the series.

"It's a different game, different season", Durant said.

"We gave ourselves a chance. But we've got to come out and got to play 48 minutes".

Durant put on a show in Game 3 of the series, dropping 43 points on a highly-efficient 15-for-23 shooting from the field, which included six 3-pointers on nine attempts.

"That was awesome what he did out there", Warriors coach Steve Kerr said.

The Warriors don't possess Durant's Bird Rights, because he has not played three seasons with them.

"He's definitely an assassin and that was one of those assassin plays right there", James said.

"It was like deja vu seeing that shot again", Cavaliers forward Kevin Love said. He finished with 33 points, 11 assists and 10 rebounds.

Cavaliers coach Tyronn Lue could only marvel at the similar circumstances.

"Every mistake we made they capitalized on a year ago", Durant said. Past year it was valued at about $5.19 million for teams that were already above the luxury tax apron. He was referring to Durant's clutch 3-pointer during the Warriors' 118-113 victory over the host Cavaliers in Game 3 of last year's Finals.

The Golden State Warriors are too much for him and for his Cavaliers.

"We got stagnant", Love said.

Game 2 saw a more pedestrian night, by LeBron's lofty standards, dropping 29 points and 13 assists in a 122-103 blowout loss in which he looked (understandably) gassed at times, particularly in the second quarter. "But I'll be in the lineup on Friday".

Durant had 24 first-half points on 7-of-10 shooting, the three other Warriors All-Stars shot 4-of-18 and that included Curry and Thompson shooting 1-of-9 from three. "We were ultra-aggressive in that first half, myself included".

Durant is coming off a brilliant performance in Game 3 of the NBA Finals on Wednesday night.

"As usual he hit a big one", Kerr said.

The Warriors responded to losing to Cleveland by adding Most Valuable Player Kevin Durant and are now on the verge of back-to-back titles with him, Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green forming a powerful core to a dynasty. If the Warriors sweep the Cavs, it will be the first time an National Basketball Association team has gone winless in the Finals since a young James and the Cavaliers fell to the 2007 National Basketball Association champion San Antonio Spurs.
