Hitman 2 Officially Announced; Will Be A Direct Sequel To Hitman
Hitman 2 will also bring co-op to the game.
Agent 47 may have wowed us all with the premiere trailer for his latest game, but it's in the Hitman 2 Collector's Edition where the chrome-domed assassin has hidden his best tricks of the trade.
"We are very proud to announce HITMAN 2 as the next exciting chapter in our ever-expanding world of assassination".
Unlike the previous game, this won't be released episodically and will be released as a full package right from the start, though there will be post-game content for players to sink their teeth into.
Travel the globe and track your targets across exotic sandbox locations in HITMAN 2. It features multiple global locations, but it will highlight Miami and an in-progress motorsport race that form a key part of the game's story.
The game will also get a Silver Edition, a Gold Edition, and a Collector's Edition. We've learned a few details about the game. And for folks who were invested in Hitman (2016), it sounds like IO is keen to directly continue the Shadow Client storyline. The game will include a Sniper Assassin standalone mode that can be played alone or cooperatively with another player. If they pre-order Hitman 2 Gold Edition, they get to play the game on November 9, 2018.
The Silver Edition includes the Executive Pack (Blackballer Pistol and Italian Black Leather Briefcase) and the first expansion that will include a new location, new missions, a new sniper map, new outfits, and weapons. The entire game will be available on launch day, which is planned for November 13 of this year. The last two options will also net you access to the game four days before the official release.
