French Open Serena Williams Set For Grand Slam Return At Roland Garros

Serena Williams reacts during her French Open first round match against Kristyna Pliskova.

According to BBC, speaking to reporters after her 7-6 (4), 6-4 victory over Kristyna Pliskova, Williams said the suit made her feel like a superhero.

But her attire was the main focus at Roland Garros as Williams took to the court in an all-black Nike "catsuit".

After what was a relatively simple labour, doctors discovered that Williams had a pulmonary embolism: a blood clot in the lungs.

But blessed with one of the sharpest tennis minds in the business, Barty's game plan will be to boss Williams from side to side in an attempt to exhaust the underdone grand slam colossus.

I call it like my Wakanda-inspired cat suit. "It's really fun", she said, referencing the fictional nation at the centre of the Black Panther blockbuster movie.

While Williams loved the bond breastfeeding allowed her to share with Olympia, she said she also missed certain things.

"I'm always living in a fantasy world", she added. But two years ago, I met this man, nearly out of nowhere. "And then if I need to train again, I have X time in training because of her nap schedules".

After sharing the heartfelt story Alexis wrote: "I'm grateful for all the people around the world who adore my wife..." "But not yet. Maybe this goes without saying, but it needs to be said in a powerful way: I absolutely want more Grand Slams".

"I have been really enjoying it".

"Two years has been a really long time", she told the crowd in French, referring to her last match on clay.

Though she is back on the court, Williams said her emphasis is looking after her daughter: "No matter what, that's my priority".

But the legendary player will have one eye on a fourth French Open title, which also rely on her body holding up under the pressure of two weeks of tennis for the first time since her return.

She saved three break points in an eight-minute-plus 10th game before taking victory, setting up a second-round clash with Australia's Ashleigh Barty. "Yeah, so I think there are definitely some differences, but there is a lot of similarities, as well".

However, she gave a stinging response to the doubters on Tuesday even if her win over the 70th-ranked Pliskova tested the American. I think probably in certain ways, yes, and I agree with those arguments; and then also I agree with arguments where it's no.

"I don't know how many aces there were", Williams smiled courtside after the match. She dropped out of high school nearly 35 years ago to support her family and works 70+ hours a week, sacrificing her health and free time to support them...

'You know, no matter the score, I still knew that I produce quite solid tennis in order to get myself in a winning position, and I felt there is no reason that I couldn't get that back'.
