Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 will have a battle royale mode

The new take on the infamous Zombies game mode in Black Ops 4 is a whole new storyline within the Zombies universe that kicked off with Call of Duty: World at War in 2008.

The new mode takes players into the familiar traits of the Battle Royale mode and applies a Call of Duty touch to it.

The big brains at Treyarch have announced they'll bring three Zombies experiences to Black Ops 4 at launch.

The Call of Duty franchise was built on the darkness of real warfare and risking lives to protect more lives.

It also introduces a new manual health system that you must strategically employ: choose when to regenerate your health as it recharges on a cooldown. But when you cook and throw grenades, when you operate equipment, when you sprint or mantle your gun is always up.

We played the game for an hour, and in that time, the main thing we noticed was how dynamic the rhythm and flow of the game has become thanks to the dedicated button you have with which to heal yourself. Players will have to scavenge, strategize, compete and survive to win. Instead, Black Ops 4 will feature a manual healing system that required a player to jab a stun into the arm. For example, an Operator Mod-equipped LMG can distort the area around where it fires. Specialist are back with new weapons and there will be a total of 8 in the game. Each will also have a narrative trial that will help explain some of their backstory and flesh them out as a person.

Anyway, Call of DutyL Black Ops 4 releases worldwide on October 12th, 2018 for the PC, Xbox One and PS4 platforms. There's one in a gladiator arena and another on a cruise ship that appears to be the Titanic, and it's all very confusing.

A third map called Blood of the Dead that features some classic Zombies characters will also be available to play.

If you've been tuning into all of the rumors floating around and about regarding Blops 4, you'll know that a battle royale mode is in the works.

It's not clear what the Blackout player limit will be, but Treyarch did divulge that the mode's map is CoD's biggest ever, 1500 times larger than Nuketown. "For us to even consider this kind of experience, it had to be unique and done in a way only Black Ops could do". Biggest of all, the game does not feature regenerating health in hopes that the player will think more tactically in regards to combat encounters and spatial awareness with the map, and the science-fiction elements have been toned down in comparison to the last Black Ops title. The developer noted that you'll be able to traverse the enormous map being offered with the mode by land, sea or air. "We play them too", he said on stage.
