New Mario Tennis Aces Gameplay Shows Off Intense, Arcadey Matches

Mario Tennis Aces Demo

Mario Tennis Aces Demo

Running from 1st June at 3pm United Kingdom time, to 4th June at 11:59pm United Kingdom time, the demo will allow players to compete against others for free, testing out their skills and (importantly) allowing them to see what the game is like to play. The previous game in the series, Mario Tennis: Ultra Smash for Wii U, was met with scathing reviews, mostly due to its limited content.

Nintendo has announced that a Mario Tennis Aces Pre-Launch Online Tournament demo will be available to play at the start of next month, with a prize being given out to all participants. Pacific, 9:00 p.m. Eastern.

Curious about Mario Tennis Aces for the Nintendo Switch, but not curious enough to pre-order or buy the game quite yet?

What do you think of the story mode in Mario Tennis Aces?

Mario Tennis Aces gives players a level-up system and some strategic RPG elements like equipping different tennis rackets. We're not exactly sure why this is referred to as a tournament, as it's closer to a demo. Before we get to that, why not check out a couple new Mario Tennis Aces trailers? The new footage shows off some of the most intense matches we've seen between Mario, Luigi, Peach, and the rest of the crew since the days of Mario Tennis on Nintendo 64. If you'd rather turn off all of the fancy chance shots and play a more straightforward game of tennis, you're more than welcome to do that as well, but where's the fun in that?! Similar to the pre-launch test fires games like Splatoon 2 and ARMS received previous year, this will be your chance to check out the game before it launches.

That wasn't all from the world of Mario Tennis Aces.
