Spurs leaves Wembley with 5-4 win vs Leicester, clinches 3rd

Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino will hold talks with chairman Daniel Levy next week to outline the club's plans for the future, refusing to guarantee he will stay in charge.

A insane 5-4 win at Wembley kept up Pochettino's record of always finishing in the top three - a feat the club had never previously achieved in the Premier League.

He is yet to win a trophy though and while Tottenham will move into their new 61,000-seater stadium next season with Champions League football to look forward to, Pochettino hinted that it might not necessarily be him at the helm, calling on the club's hierarchy to "take risks".

'After four years we need to assess that period and try to win big trophies.

However, if the fans want to go a stage further and start winning the major honours they crave, Pochettino says that Levy has to move his "project" on by being willing to invest more in the team. That's a bit up to Daniel and the club. "In this type of situation being fearless is important and you need to take risks". We need to deliver the best way to try and win.

"When we work with all the squad we can not be thinking about anything other than the future at Leicester".

"Our fans need to know what we are going to do and our fans need to feel the reality of the club and we need to tell the truth and create a very good expectation we can achieve". We need to think our reality is different and our fans need to think and be happy and support us because we are not a club who will spend insane money. Maybe I am talking too much, maybe I should breathe.

'We can not think we are the cleverest people in the world winning trophies on small money. Now we need to decide the way to operate'. Being courageous is the most important [thing].

Asked again whether he will be at the club next season, Pochettino added: "In football you never know. Don't take this in [a] negative way, this always happens at the end of the season at all clubs, the manager speaks to owners, sporting director and chief executive to analyse the season and thinking how to improve".
