Members of the UN Security Council, who promised Sunday to work hard to resolve a crisis.

Peru's ambassador to the United Nations and delegation leader Gustavo Adolfo Meza Cuadra Velasqez said he and his fellow team members were ready to "work hard" and were "very concerned" about the crisis.

"They have killed my family members, they tortured us, they will kill us again", Mohammed Tayab said, standing in front of a tent where he was expecting to meet the United Nations team.

"The trip is part of an effort by Aung San Suu Kyi's civilian government to fix its relations with the global community and make good on a pledge to allow some of the people driven from their homes to return to northern Rakhine State, the centre of one of the world's worst humanitarian crises", it read.

"Because I don't think there will be a sanction by the council anytime soon". On Monday, they were to reach Myanmar.

"Hopefully, the situation won't deteriorate".

The high-profile delegation of the UN Security Council termed Rohingya crisis a very "complex" issue and said there is no "easy solution" to it. The Muslim population in Rakhine has either been decimated or fled to Bangladesh.

"From the very beginning, we said its solution is hard".

"The problem has come from there (Myanmar) and the solution lies there as well", Alam told reporters after the visit. They carried placards, some of which read "We want justice".

Prior to the briefing, the delegation visited Kutupalong refugee camp and Tombru border in Bandarban's Naikhyangchhari to assess first-hand the plight of the refugees there.

Without aid, numerous refugees will have to remain in these hazardous locations and hundreds of thousands of others will also be at risk if roads become impassible, blocking access to aid supplies and medical services.

Myanmar does not recognise Rohingya as an ethnic group and insists that they are Bangladeshi migrants living illegally in the country.

State minister for foreign affairs M Shahriar Alam accompanied the UNSC delegation during the visit.

It is this crisis that members of the council hope to see first hand.

Gustavo Meza-Cuadra, the Peruvian ambassador to the United Nations, led the delegation.

Also, he thanked all the members of the delegation who contributed to providing the aid and making the magnitude of the humanitarian disaster known through social networks and media platforms, noting that the visit had a good impact on orphans and refugee children and brought pleasure to them.

Professor Riaz said, "Hopefully, the cycle of inaction will be broken".

In a pre-departure crowded press conference at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport, Ambassador Mansour said there is no resistance from China and Russian Federation in terms of finding a solution to Rohingya crisis.

Representatives from the five permanent Security Council members - China, France, Russia, Britain and the United States - and 10 non-permanent member states have joined the delegation in the coastal town of Cox's Bazar, where the camps are located.

After visiting the camps in Bangladesh over the weekend the council mission is expected to visit Myanmar's capital of Nay Pyi Taw and areas in northern Rakhine State that were affected by the violence beginning last August and from which most refugees fled.
