IRS officer Durishetty Anudeep tops UPSC exam 2017

Now serving as an Assistant Tax Commissioner in Hyderabad, Durishetty Anudeep started preparing for Union Public Service Commission examination in 2012.

The Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination, 2017 was conducted on 18th June, 2017. With the determination to tackle matters related to the safety of women in the country, Anu Kumari wants to stay in India and serve the nation.

Notably, the family members and mentors of candidates, who cleared the civil services examinations 2017, jumped with joy after the results were announced yesterday.

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) on Friday declared the final results of civil services examinations conducted for the 2017 batch. Anudeep is now working in Hyderabad as assistant commissioner (customs and indirect taxes). The second position has gone to a science graduate from Delhi University Ms Anu Kumari, who later picked up a MBA degree from IMT, Nagpur.

Eight women have made it to the top 25 candidates.

Anu Kumari (Roll No. 48547) is the topper among the female candidates securing an overall Second rank.

The list of 990 recommended candidates includes 29 differently abled candidates - 9 orthopedically handicapped; 8 visually challenged and 12 hearing impaired. All those candidates who appeared for the examination can check their respective result at the official site i.e. upsc.gov.in.

The online registration for Civil Services 2018 exam has ended. 13,366 candidates qualified for appearance in the Written (Main) Examination held in October - November, 2017.

As Subhankar always wanted to be an Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer, he again appeared the exam. The personality test was carried out from February onwards this year.
